Dingle Peninsula Walks

No other area in Ireland offers the variety and quality of walking trails and routes as the Dingle Peninsula, Ireland’s most westerly dramatic peninsula. The Dingle Peninsula is a paradise for walkers. Most of the routes are on small, quiet roads and trails, far away from the hustle and bustle of life.
You can walk for hours along these lanes and routes, in peace and quiet. There are trails that will bring you up and down mountains and hills, along beaches and strands, and across seaside cliffs. All walks in the area will give you the time and peace to enjoy the magnificent beauty of the area.
THE DINGLE WAY – One of Ireland’s most renowned walks is a 112 mile trail that winds up and down the peninsula via beaches, cliffs and hedged livestock paths. The diversity of different landscapes is the reason why the Dingle Way is such a popular trail. It never takes long before a turn in the path reveals a dramatic change of scenery.

From walking in the foothills of Slieve Mish to crossing the shoulder of Mount Brandon, from the crashing waves of the Atlantic at Slea Head to the tranquil setting of pastoral farmland and on to lonesome strands of golden beaches on the Maharees. The Dingle Way invigorates the senses.

GLENTEENASSIG FOREST - is located just 2 minutes from our Holiday Village and boasts some of the most spectacular views. With easy access, it offers great board walks and is a special spot for picnics and strolls.

FERMOYLE STRAND - is located a short distance from our Holiday Village and is Ireland’s longest beach, 11km, running from Fermoyle and stretching out to the Maharees to the north.

With similar characteristics to Inch Beach on the south of the peninsula, Fermoyle Strand is sandwiched by the dramatic and beautiful sand dunes of the coastline and the endless string of thunderous waves of Brandon Bay crashing ashore to the north.
